It’s my second time reading this and it’s still a perfect fantasy book. The magic system is incredible and the world so gloomy and mysterious. It’s such a smart read Can’t wait to reread the rest of the series.

Easy to read, exciting world, lots of details to keep you entertained. It does feel like a young adult book, but I liked it despite that.

I felt the writing was boring and the magic system was both dull and shallow. The story got much better halfway through, though I disliked the enemies to lovers trope. I’m not sure I want to read more of the series, but I do find that I’m interested in how the magic came into being and what The Deepness actually is.
